Over time they develop dark streaks caused by Gloeocapsa magma — a blue-green algae that feeds on the limestone filler in your shingles. Left untreated, it degrades the granules that protect your roof from UV damage, shortening its lifespan by years.

Roof ReNu ATX uses a low-pressure soft wash system combined with biodegradable, roof-safe cleaning solutions. We never use high-pressure washing on asphalt shingles — high pressure blasts off the granules that manufacturers specifically prohibit in warranties.
